This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th St., Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by self, through her sister, Mrs. [522].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer any questions regarding this body I will ask you.
2. EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions in this body. These have to do with specific conditions, and a general debilitation, as is produced by these conditions, as they affect the body.
3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, Miss [4809], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find gradually becoming weakened, by the taxation and the stimulation as has been used from time to time, for the blood has produced those conditions that now become the condition that brings the distress to system in many ways; overtaxed then with the carrying of poisons as not eliminated through their regular channels. Hence, heart, lungs and liver all become affected by this condition.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, strain on system has produced that condition wherein the whole system is in that state of over-nervous, especially in the sympathetic system, until it is hard at times for the body to control nerves at all, in a general sense.
6. IN THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, brain forces very good.
7. Organs of the sensory system all come under this strain in nerve system, and this especially is seen in the condition as is produced in eyes and in the throat, and beginning with the auditory system. These are the EFFECTS of the condition of blood stream, and of nerve system, of impoverished blood, of blood overcharged; that is, in action.
8. In throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx. This again we see how the system is affected by this condition, for this inflammation as is produced in the bronchial and larynx is the lack of secretions as supplied by the blood flow into the portion of the system, and this tickling sensation as is produced there comes from lack of nutriment and of the condition as produced in lungs, through the deficient blood stream.
9. Digestive system low, for the body rarely eats sufficient; yet is a good dietician for self.
10. In the liver, this we find shows the effect of the condition, in its engorgement, in its inability to function normal in the excretory forces, for the liver both secretes and excretes for the blood, and supplies to the system that which gives the blood the rebuilding in the system; heart being affected in the same manner; that is, it is sometimes too fast, sometimes too slow. The metabolism of the system has been overtaxed, or destroyed in a manner.
11. Through the rest of the system we find general effects of these.
12. Then, to bring about the normal condition for this body, we would take in the system these properties as an inhalant for the condition in throat, bronchials and larynx:
13. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

    Eucalyptol..................................20 minims,
Benzosol.....................................5 minims,
Fluid Extract (in solution) of Sweet Gum....20 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp........................5 minims,
Canadian Balsam..............................3 minims.

    Shake solution well together. Inhale through the mouth whenever that sensation of coughing is bad, taking two to three deep breaths, see? When this has been used for two to three days, change it, see? That is, make a new quantity in same manner, same proportion, putting chemicals together in the way as has been given. Shake it every time though before it is inhaled, keeping it in container at least twice the size of the quantity of properties.
14. Use on the system those vibrations as will be found in the Radium Applicator, for this will bring the nearer conditions for the equilibrium of the system, see, being careful for the diet. At evening, when this Applicator is removed from body, when the eyes are closed, lay this across the eyes, see? for two, three to five minutes, morning and evening, see? wearing on the body during the day.

    (A) Across the solar plexus, on the back.

1. 11/17/29 Sister [522]'s letter: "[4809] is improving all the time. Her recovery is due to answered prayer, for she certainly was in a critical condition and her comeback has been wonderful."
2. 12/08/44 "Sister [4809] died on Oct. 31st. She had been sick for quite a while but was only in bed a month and really didn't suffer but a few days before she passed away."
