This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Halcyon Hotel, Miami, Florida, this 28th day of February, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [4825].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [4825] and wife [2415], Mr. [287] and wife [2646], and Mrs. [5571].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same, and you will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. Now, we find there are many changes in the physical forces of this body since we had this here. The greater portion of these are for the improvement of the physical condition, and the eliminations as were set up to rid the system of those conditions in the various portions of the tissue and the central functioning organs show the body to be in a nearer normal condition than that as we had last; yet we find the body under strain in the present conditions, and these corrected would bring much better forces for the body. The greater distress at the present time being in that of the nerve system and the reactions that come from same, though we find some specific conditions producing this, and the correction of these, with the general deliberate CARE of the physical body, would not only relieve the nerve tension but prepare the body to better meet the needs of the nerve and mental reaction the body is called upon to bear, or to act in accord with, or to meet conditions of.
4. In two particular conditions we find these show. The condition in the teeth, the condition in the throat, and the reaction to the nerve system from same. The first needs, then, the local attention. The next needs that of the correction, osteopathically given, for the tissue in the throat proper. The tonsils need the attention by manipulation, rather than by spray or by knife, and the correction of conditions along the whole of the cerebro-spinal system will bring relief to the body, and a more normal reaction from same; for many days, and many days of usefulness, should be added to this body, by the correction before it takes hold in the system. See? We would do that. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Any specific or special diet for this body?
   (A) Any conditions that agree with the body are very good. That is, the body is not a gormandizer, neither does it eat to excess. The better element for diet is to be more regular.
6. (Q) What causes the cough, and what will relieve same?
   (A) Correcting the conditions in the throat and along the whole cerebro-spinal system, and relieve the condition. Not too much smoking, for it is irritating - but we will find that the smoking is beneficial to the body when corrections are made, but not to excess, see? With the correction of the conditions in the cerebro-spinal system, we find there is not the desire - for the excess of desire is caused by the secretions in the throat calling for something to excite the tissue and the saliva, or the mucus producing portions in system, to rid the system of it. Hence smoking is beneficial, under the condition - yet corrected, would prevent so much irritation, see? Consistency! Consistency is a jewel, even to this individual.
7. (Q) The tonsils in this body have been removed. What is necessary?
   (A) As is GIVEN, not necessary for the knife in this body - but there was not an extra job of removing these when it done! We find that there is in portions of this that which causes irritation. By the absorption of same, by increasing circulation through the osteopathic forces, we will relieve this condition and these portions that show will be removed, see?
8. (Q) Will the general osteopathic treatment be sufficient, or should any specific treatment be used?
   (A) Specific, to be sure, as is given - for the throat, and for the whole of the organs of the head here, see? for the eyes, the hearing, and the speech, will be BENEFITED by this correction. The GENERAL treatment is necessary in part - three to four such adjustments through the nasal and through the mouth to the nasal, and along the Eustachian Tubes, and the cervical. Then the general with this, would require something like thirteen such treatments, see? all combined.
9. (Q) What osteopathic physician should the body go to, to get these treatments, in Miami?
   (A) Any one that does this specific character of work, see? There are some several. Any of these.
10. (Q) Which is the best?
    (A) The one better suited to the individual!

1. GD's note: EC received friendly letters through the years until EC's death, from Mr. [4825] and his wife [2415]. They secured readings for members of their family and referred friends to EC for readings.
2. 7/30/45 Wife [2415]'s letter indicated that Mr. [4825] was fine and still very active in his work.
3. 7/20/72 [4825]'s daughter, [948]'s letter:
   "...Mother [2415] is still living (age 88). She had a stroke in 1957 a few months after Dad's [4825] death (emphysema & heart)..."
