Australia. Remember what Edgar Cayce said about the use
of crude oil to cure baldness?:
"Often a tight scalp causes fall-out. Insufficient blood
circulation in the scalp from one of several cause sometimes
'starves' hair to death."
"Several commercial hair treatment clinics can effectively
combat these common causes of hair loss. Special shampoos,
ultra-violet treatments and electrostatic vibrators clear the
crustations and stimulate the circulation of blood in the
scalp. All Australian capital cities have such clinics.
Fully-fledged medical doctors generally don't consider
baldness a legitimate medical problem and are quite happy to
leave the problem to these quasi-medical commercial clinics.
"A strange Russian discovery may hold out hope to many
baldness sufferers. The Baku Institute of Natural Medicine
and Physiotherapy claims to have discovered a magic oil that
restores hair. It is called naftalan and it comes from the
oil fields of the Caucasus. They report that it has grown
hair on 80 out of each 100 totally bald pates treated.
Naftalan contains potent "aromatic carbohydrates," which
promote blood circulation and improve the body's metabolism
generally, according to reports. It is alleged to heal skin
ulcers and operation scars more quickly than any other known
medication. The baldness treatment takes 20 to 25 days.
A clinic near the oilfield has the capacity to treat 1,000
foreigners at a time. Meanwhile a British gas worker reports
that North Sea gas piped ashore had cured his baldness.
British researchers have reserved comment but they don't
laugh at the gas-growing claim."
