REPORTS
4/08/25 Father [
953]'s letter: "The readings for [
4900] and
[
4898] were both good and correct in every way, especially
characters and temperaments."
[GD's note: Later in meeting Mr. [
953] and referring to his
daughter he affectionately called her "a devil on wheels."]
6/18/27 Mr. [
953] requested a Physical rdg., for his
daughter, saying: "Want a Life Reading for her husband -
will send the data along later." [GD's note the marriage did
not last, so no Life Reading was requested for [
4898]'s
husband.]
7/30/27 See
4898-2, a Physical Reading.
1/10/36 Stepmother [
583]'s letter: "[
4898] was over
Christmas Day with her boy friend, Bill."
5/17/38 "[
4898] has a 1-room apt. She does not get along
well with her mother [
4900]."
10/12/38 She [
4898] wrote herself to EC for the first time,
requesting a physical reading for a girl friend with
arthritis.
11/30/39 Stepmother [
583]'s letter: "[
4898] called up one
day recently. I was not home but my sister said she is
living in Chicago again. Unfortunately, her third attempt at
married life did not hold out very long. I do not know the
reason but I assume poverty entered into it. She likes a
more luxurious life and he was incapable of maintaining the
standard. I really feel very badly about it. I wonder if
she ever will be happy. I would like to do something for her
but you can't make people over or make them see things as you
wish them to. It troubles me a lot. An only child and
headstrong has made her selfish and spoiled. For her
father's sake I want so much to be of benefit. I wish I knew
how I could do it. It is almost certain that my boys [[
4713]
and [
4714]] will some day look to her welfare."
5/29/40 Stepmother [
583]'s letter: "[
4898] has been working
in an office for about 3 months now. She went back to
business college you know."
12/41 Stepmother [
583]'s letter: "See [
4898] now and then.
She usually mentions you."
12/01/42 Stepmother [
583]'s letter indicated that [
4898] was
visiting her mother [
4900] in ..., Mo. while waiting to join
her husband in San Francisco where he might be stationed.
12/15/42 "[
4898] is living and working in S.F."
10/28/43 Mrs. [
583] had TIR sent to [
4898] in S.F. as Xmas
gift.
11/23/43 Mrs. [
583]'s letter: "[
4898] has not heard from her
husband in many months, and naturally she is quite worried.
He is aboard one of our finest battleships."
4/14/50 Mrs. [
583] reported that [
4898] was now living on the
Pacific just as EC recommended in her Life Reading so many
years ago, and that she had remained happily married to her
last husband for about eight years now.
12/11/53 "[
4713] is a partner in elec. const. business with
[
4898]'s husband now; likes it much and is doing fine."
