2/23/25 EC's letter:
Dear Mr. Wyrick:-
I'm certainly glad to have yours of the 21st. To be sure,
we've been quite anxious regarding the conditions around
the operations, but I'm glad to know that you have now
practically gotten things in shape so they can go after the
troublesome bit and I certainly am in hopes that you will be
successful in getting this out without much further trouble.
I hope that having to drill down on top of this won't so set
this that it will make it difficult to get out. The under
reaming I am sure has been slow and tedious. Glad to know
though that you've gotten it in good shape and that you have
the show of the oil and gas as indications of success.
I have been most anxious regarding your own physical
condition, and if I had known where to find you I think I
would have taken a reading on you before this. I certainly
hope for the very best results with the observations you are
of necessity having to have made, and I certainly trust it
will prove most beneficial to you. I'm glad though that
you're feeling pretty good and I trust that you will continue
to do so, and I am sure with the properties that you must
be taking at this time it will help you to keep in the right
way, provided you don't overtax yourself physically, which
I'm in hopes you won't do. You realize that you must not
allow yourself to become too much worried just at this time,
for worry will create as many conditions to be overcome as
incorrect diet would, under the circumstance. Not that you
don't already know this, but merely as a reminder of the
condition.
I certainly will thank you to let me have a wire from you
as soon as they're able to get this bit removed and you're
ready to go on with the operations. If you should feel it
is possible for me to be of any assistance, of course don't
hesitate.
I certainly thank you for the little clippings [re Mr.
Gumbinsky. See Par. R2 and R3, above] you enclosed. I'm
indeed sorry to know that this came to such a point that
it just worried the existence out of this man, for as you
know, while I was in Chicago, I came to know about these
circumstances from first hand, as well as the information
we obtained in the reading and realized the effect they were
having on Mr. Gumbinsky. He was warned of this condition,
but like so many of us pressure from other places was so
great that he was not able to heed it as he should. This is
purely a case of where a man let conditions worry the life
out of him.
Yes, we have had some very interesting readings and feeling
that you would like to know something of these, we want to
furnish as much to you as you would like, yet we don't want
to worry you too much with them. I'm enclosing you, then,
another that we got Saturday evening [254-21]. Seemingly,
to me, this is one of the most revolutionary that we've had
in a long time, and I wish we had had it a long time ago. I
think we would have been able then to have had a whole lot of
information that we haven't had, or haven't been able to get.
You'll find from this that it depends entirely, as we've
already known, and I'm sure you know better than most people
do, that what is asked determines what is gotten. While it
blows up some other peoples' theories to a certain extent,
yet in some ways it seems the most reasonable thing of
anything we've had in a long, long, time. Be sure and tell
me just what you think about it. We haven't taken any as yet
under this new suggestion, and we're very anxious to do so,
and I'm sure you'll be anxious to know the results we get.
I feel like all of us that have had a horoscope will want to
take it all over again. I'm sure Miss Gladys is glad to make
extra copies of any of these, for she is about the first to
think of it when anything like this comes up.
I'm also sending you copies of letters we're sending out
at this time. Let me know what you think about this. I'm
expecting Mr. Blumenthal here the first of next week. I sure
do wish that it was possible to have you both here together.
He's in New Orleans at the present time.
With kindest personal regards from each and everyone of us,
trusting this finds things going well with you, and hoping
you'll let us hear from you, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

My dear Cayce
I received the reading #19 [254-21?] and letter of recent
date. I am always glad to hear from you and the reading
is most wonderful. Please give me one according to the
new specification. Wired you this morning that the bit
was pulled out yesterday. Martin wires that they are all
jubilant and the drillers are very much elated with the
formation now in. They expect to bring it in before I
can get there. I hope so. Will keep you advised.
Copy letter you are sending out seems good, hope you make a
big success this time. I had planned going to see you last
this week but hear the call to the well. If you get to my
reading next day or so mail it to me at Morgan, Tex. Will
be very glad to get copy readings. When convenient to
send them, as you know I am very much interested in all
the subjects.
Best wishes to all. MBW
