BACKGROUND

2. 4/19/27 Mr. L. B. Cayce's letter: "[4931] from ..., Ky. is here in hospital and Dr. Thomas holds out no hope for her. I don't know why she does not call on you again, as she was so very strong in your praise when I talked with her last [year 1922]. She said then that she owed her life and what she was, then, to you, that you had cured her and put her on her feet when all the rest had failed."
3. 4/20/27 Her sister's husband, Mr. [244] wired: "Please give reading now on [4731], Room 56, Jennie Stewart Hospital, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Important. Very low. Mail reading Special Delivery."
4. 5/02/27 EC wired: "Appointments are such this can't be made until Wed. morning. Wire if you wish it made then."

REPORTS

1. 5/04/27 Her brother-in-law, Mr. [244], wrote: "When we got your wire I thought it too late for the rdg. I had mostly taken this on myself. I know most positively that if [4931] had been at herself she would have called on you for help, as she had often said that you had saved her from death the last reading you gave her. She died Wed. morning, the 4th. As you know, she was dear to me, as she was with my own children in their young girlhood."
2. 5/09/27 EC's letter: "I wish she had let us know sometime before she went to the hospital, for you know how very, very hard it is to get anyone in an institution to carry out the suggestions that are made through these readings - though I feel very sure it has been done a time or two in the hospital there in Hopkinsville."
3. 1/06/56 Mrs. [1692]'s letter: "I watched Edgar Cayce do a health reading on my aunt, Mrs. [4931]. Doctors were unable to determine her ailment, a woman's disease. Edgar Cayce told them what to do and Aunt [4931] was completely cured."
