The diet is the principal condition to be observed by this
body. The diet has often been outlined for this system.
Follow close as to those. Whole wheat bread. Very little of
ANY white bread. Little of proteins, butterfat, or fats of
any kind. Milk in moderation. Little or no coffee with
sugar; that is, cane sugar, in same. No tea whatever, see?
The vegetable diet the preferable for the body, especially
that as is seen in greens of every character, especially
spinach, or celery, or salsify, or of that nature, for these
carry the properties that will assist with the treatments,
and with the medicinal properties as should be taken.
Following these DIRECTLY, and we will find, if these are kept
in the consistent and persistent manner for the three months,
a great deal of change will come for this body. Then we
would go over these conditions to direct from there.
We are through for the present.
BACKGROUND
2/09/26 Husband's letter: "My wife [
4978] has been ill for
some time [with diabetes, according to friend Mr. [
2903]'s
letter of same date] and I will be obliged if you will give a
reading to see if she can be benefited or cured."
REPORTS
3/04/26 Friend Mr. [
2903]'s letter: "Mrs. [
4978] is an old
fashioned Methodist and can't really get herself to believe
beyond the medical profession. She has tried an osteopath
doctor who did not do her any good so has lost confidence in
them but she realizes she is slipping with her medical
doctor. I today had a very frank heart to heart talk with
Mr. [...] [her husband] and told him of some of your cases I
had heard about and called his attention to your diagnosis in
Mrs. [
4978]'s case, the principal points of which he could
have verified by his doctor or better by a good osteopathic
doctor, and I frankly told him if I were him or Mrs. [
4978],
realizing the present doctors were not doing her any good, I
would at least lay the matter before my doctor and see what
he had to say, and if I did not get action I would then lay
the entire matter before a good osteopath to follow you out,
so he has gone to consult his doctor and I believe will
follow my advice."
3/23/26 Letter mentioning doctors, see under
2903-2 Reports.
3/25/26 Friend Mr. [
2903]'s letter: "I haven't heard further
from my friend [Husband of [
4978]] and I fear his doctor has
strongly advised him against you and altho he has confidence
and wants to try it yet hates to go against 'public opinion',
and if such is the case I can see his wife continuing on down
grade until she is practically ready for the scrap pile and
ask for another reading and be ready to try it out but in
meantime will have lost valuable ground and valuable time. I
think the best thing for me to do is to bide my time and let
them next come to me, which I am sure they will shortly."
