TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [5137].
3. As we find, there are disturbances which cause incoordination in the body-functionings. These as we find are forming accumulations, which has caused sediments in the kidney area. We find that these may become very serious unless quiet and precautions are taken, and there must be certain activities until there are the eliminations of these disorders. And there are certain conditions and activities in which the body must not engage during these periods.
4. As we find, from those subluxations that exist between the 7th and 8th dorsal, there has been a hindrance in the amount of nerve energies going to activities between the liver and kidneys. There are those disorders in the gall duct area, the reactions cause heavier flow of activity to be performed by the kidneys in eliminating poisons; that is, lacking in the necessary flow produced accumulations.
5. These should be tested by x-ray, but if these applications are made we will find we can eliminate this disorder.
6. About twice each week, Tuesdays and Fridays, when the body is ready to retire, put about 5 drops of Spirits of Turpentine in one quart of warm, little better than lukewarm water, wring a rag or cloth out in same, and place this over the kidney area and let this remain on the back for at least one hour, then remove. Do this for about three times. Then begin (not before) with osteopathic adjustments with special reference to the dorsal, from the 9th dorsal up to the 1st cervical. And while these are being made, during at least twelve to fourteen of such adjustments, do keep having twice a week the stupes of Turpentine over the area. If it causes anxiety in the bladder, do put the same type of Turpentine stupes over the lower portion of the abdomen, to the pubic center, across this whole area, but especially right in the center to the pubic center. These can be kept on or off in regular periods, or irregular periods, depending upon the pain.
7. With the corrections, do have at least one scientifically given colonic irrigation.
8. For we should increase the eliminations by using senna pods or senna tea. Put two or three pods in a cup and pour boiling water over same, let stand for thirty minutes, strain and drink. This do once or twice a week.
9. Thus we will bring better conditions for the body. Do not take during these treatments any hard drinks or soft drinks where carbonated water is used. A little later on when there has been lessening of pain, do use Coca Cola but with plain water, not carbonated water.
10. Do this and we will bring better conditions for this body.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Is the diet alright?
    (A) Diet is very good.
13. (Q) Should any of the vitamins and treatments now being taken be continued?
    (A) These should be continued, after the treatments suggested.
14. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

1. 9/03/43 Mother's letter: "...Am also enclosing an application for my daughter. You will notice I signed her maiden name... Her marriage was recent, and she still uses maiden name in her work. She graduated this summer from school and is now teaching dancing and taking care of past obligations and me..."
2. 4/04/44 Mother's letter: "...My daughter, son-in-law and I are all under treatments with vitamins and other unexpected expenses... My daughter has had 2 severe abdominal attacks. We are told it is gravel in bladder and an infected gland. Please give my appointment for a Life Reading 5/20/44 to her, and get a diagnosis to find the seat of her trouble... I am sorry about not having our Life Readings... I thought it would help my daughter and I to come to a quicker understanding of why there has been such or rather so much friction between us... What is causing her abdominal pains?"

REPORTS

1. 6/05/44 Mother's letter: "...We will follow instructions to the letter. Have contacted Dr. Miller as you instructed... I like her very much. Treatments for daughter to start Saturday..."
2. 6/07/44 Letter: "I received gratefully, and am following instructions in [my] reading... I'm not sure of several statements, and wonder if you could clarify them: (1) You mentioned that certain activities were not to be engaged in. What are they? I teach dancing, and wonder if physical activity is referred to? (2) In answer to the question 'should vitamins and treatments now being taken be continued?' it was answered: 'These should be continued after treatments suggested'. Does this mean resume treatments and vitamins AFTER the suggested course is completed, or does it mean continue vitamins, treatments AS suggested in the reading, discontinuing the former treatments?"
3. 3/31/52 Comment by IMG: "Mr. Cayce replied to this letter, but apparently did not have the reading at hand; the first question therefore, was not answered. Mother's letter of 9/03/43 stated that [5137] was teaching dancing; evidently the activities mentioned in the reading referred to the daughter's profession, as well as to her marital problems. Our last contact with [5137] was through the mother on 5/17/45, at which time there was no report. We have no record of verbal or written contact on this case since 6/07/44. Whereabouts unknown, of both [5137] and mother, since second class test mailing on 4/08/49."
