Born
12/14/89 in Pennsylvania: married; one child. Mrs.
[
5148]'s husband requested four Readings consisting of
Physical and Life Readings for his wife and him. Since there
were only three appointments available during their week's
stay at Virginia Beach, Mr. Cayce gave the husband the choice
of a Life Reading for his wife or a Life Reading for himself.
The husband chose a Life Reading for his wife, Mrs. [
5148].
They were both present for Mrs. [
5148]'s Physical Reading in
the morning of
5/25/44 and for her husband's Physical Reading
in the afternoon of
5/24/44. For additional background and
information, see [
5148]'s Physical Reading [5148-2], and her
husband's Physical Reading [5147-2].
5/29/55 Questions orally submitted to GD, all listed at the
end of this Life Reading.
REPORTS
During conversation following Mrs. [
5148]'s Life Reading, Mr.
Cayce remarked to her husband that he thought the husband,
[
5147], was one of the counselors among the twelve, probably
the 8th, to be identified through the Readings. GD.
6/07/44 Husband's letter to GD: "Mrs. [
5148]'s Life Reading
has come and it is very interesting indeed. She is and
will continue to carefully study that remarkable document.
Meantime she asked me to thank you for your willingness to
send a copy of the Bible minutes on the Book of Genesis.
We will both look forward to reading the interpretations on
water. Also, we thank you for your continuing willingness to
put me in for a Life Reading as soon as it may be possible,
and in any event not after
1/06/45. Since my wife's Reading
indicated that I was the 8th counsellor, I know that you will
sympathize with my eagerness for a Reading soon... The week
that Mrs. [
5148] and I spent in Virginia Beach proved to be
of the utmost importance to us, being at once deeply helpful,
interesting and delightful; and for these we send earnest
thanks to Edgar Cayce and to you and to the other members of
your staff, for kindness and courtesies 'over and above the
call of duty'..."
On
1/19/46, Mrs. [
5148]'s husband and Mrs. [
845] met, at
which time she remarked: "You were my father in the Egyptian
period." See Mrs. [
845]'s Life Reading
845-9, Par. 34-Q.
GD.
9/30/49 Questionnaire-letter sent. No reply.
6/51 Mrs. [
5148] and her husband attended the 21st Congress
of A.R.E.
5/09/52 Comment by GD: "Mrs. [
5148] and her husband have
been and still are interested and helpful in A.R.E. and
E.C.F. activities, as indicated by his correspondence.
Nevertheless, they have not submitted reports requested."
6/05/58 Report by husband [
5147]: "My wife [
5148] died
10/14/57, after months of suffering with cancer [See report
at end of 5148-1]... She did not follow through with writing
as had been suggested in her Life Reading...but she expressed
herself to the effect that she owed Edgar Cayce in
particular, and others who were attempting to carry out the
plans or work with the readings, a debt she would never be
able to repay. She stated that her contact with Edgar Cayce
and the effect of this contact and her readings [
5148-1
and 5148-2] meant more to her spiritually than could be
expressed. Three days before she died she said to me,
'I have suffered much and will suffer more, but I have no
complaint, for I know this is the result of something I have
done, either in this life or some previous life.' She knew
how to prepare for death because of her contact with Edgar
Cayce. She died a very spiritual death."
