Then, as we find, heavy soda baths for this body; that is,
put at least one pound of soda in at least twenty to
twenty-five gallons of water. Massage the spine with this
and let this be just as warm as not to be uncomfortable.
Massage the areas over the lumbar and sacral and the limbs,
the joints, the knees, the ankles, the toes, the feet and the
hands, arms and shoulders. This is a week, you see, or five
days after the Atomidine has been taken for the five days.
On the sixth day, then have this massage in the bath,
followed by a shower and thorough rubdown with equal parts
Olive Oil and Peanut Oil, especially in the spinal area from
the end of the spine to that area between the shoulders and
neck, or the whole length. Here we would massage upward all
the way, circular motion, along the spinal area.
We would change the diet to that carrying little salt, unless
kelp or health salt is used. We would increase the amount of
the vitamins which come and appear in celery, lettuce,
watercress, carrots, for all these natures will bring
eliminations for the body.
These we would do. Be consistent, be persistent.
Have at least twenty treatments of such; that is, the
massages, two series of the soda bath, followed with the oil
rubs.
Do that.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What may be done to improve eyesight?
(A) The head and neck exercise, but much is from the general
condition. The vegetables and the massage will aid or
strengthen eyesight. Head and neck exercises are very good.
These should be taken regularly, though, not spasmodically.
Do that.
We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND
10/18/43 Letter: "I am troubled with arthritis in my hip
joint, also in my spinal column, at least that is what my
doctor says. I am very anxious to have you give me a
reading... I am very willing to follow instructions given.
I fear that in time I may have to resort to a wheeled chair
unless a cure is made before the disease gets too far
along..."
11/13/43 Letter: "...I have read very carefully "There Is A
River" some time ago. Since reading it, I am convinced you
can help me... Being afflicted with the same trouble the
young lady was, namely arthritis, only she was ever so much
worse than I am, I fully believe you can cure me. I feel
that I have the right attitude and understanding, and very
much desire to have a reading at your earliest date.
According to X-Ray pictures, it has already entered my spine
and when it is necessary for me to pick up anything from the
floor, I have to get down on both knees to do so. It has
also gone into my left hip, but as yet I am able to get
about... I live alone and have no one to oppose me in any
way, so I feel that there is no stumbling block to prevent me
from deriving full benefit of your readings... Please take
my case at your earliest convenience..."
5/07/44 Letter: "...This is an emergency case and as far as I
am able to explain my condition, I have been told it is
arthritis. My backbone seems to be getting stiff, making it
impossible for me to bend to pick up anything and my sight
seems to be becoming impaired..."
5/27/44 Letter: "...I will spend the entire day in quiet
meditation and prayer. (1) I would like to know why at times
my legs seem to be so weak that it is very hard for me to get
about, and if I do any great amount of walking, I am
completely tired out. (2) What causes me to have pain in the
lower part of my back? (3) What causes the weakness around
my waist? (4) What is affecting my eyes? (5) Why, with
little exertion, do I perspire so freely? (6) Is my trouble
arthritis?"
REPORTS
6/11/44 Letter: "I have received my reading and have been
trying to find the soda you mentioned for the baths. The
druggists here in this vicinity say there are so many
different kinds they do not know just the kind of soda
wanted. Is it the kind of soda used for baking? One party
said there was a soda, but it was very strong, and that he
would never use it for a bath, as it would take the skin off.
I thought best to write you in regard to it before doing
anything. I will await your reply... It says to have 2
series of the soda bath. Does that mean 4 soda baths?"
6/16/44 EC's letter: "...Just plain baking soda is what you
should use. Have you been able to get the Atomidine? That
will be harder to find..."
10/16/44 Letter: "I am in receipt of the bottle of
Atomidine, and now am at a loss what to do. In your reading
you directed me to take 2 drops in a glass of water each
morning before the meal, and in reading directions on the
bottle for internal use, caution to be used only by or on the
prescription of a physician. Does that mean I must show this
medicine to a doctor and get his consent to use it? I
thought I was to do as you prescribed in your reading. In
case he does not sanction the use of it, what am I to do?
The medicine will be of no use to me, and I am out the price
of the medicine. I would appreciate hearing..."
10/23/44 IMG letter: "We would suggest that you follow
through with the suggestions given in your reading, in every
detail. It is unnecessary for you to contact a doctor to use
the Atomidine. The directions on the bottle are given for
the protection of those who purchase it from the shelf
without having any particular instructions..."
2/21/45 Letter: "I have been wanting to write you for quite
sometime in regard to my condition. I succeeded in getting
the Atomidine and have been taking it every morning before
eating my breakfast. I put 2 drops in half a glass of water,
as directed. As stated in my reading by taking these drops
the elimination would be increased. So far the elimination
seems to be retarded. I have taken half of the bottle. I
would like to know if I had better continue the Atomidine?
Perhaps I have not the correct understanding of the
eliminations, if it refers to the bowel movements. I will
say my bowel movement is not as regular as it was before I
began taking Atomidine. Am I supposed to take all the
Atomidine before taking the baths? I would like to know if
you have a hospital where you treat your patients...? I am
very anxious to be cured of this dreadful disease if such a
thing is possible. I know it is affecting my spine, as I
cannot stoop to pick up anything without getting down on my
knees. I will be grateful for all information you can give
me along this line."
3/05/45 GD's note: Referred her to Dr. A. J. Foerter, M.D.
9/30/49 Questionnaire sent. No reply.
4/17/52 Notation by IMG: No record of verbal or written
contact on this case since
2/21/45.
