This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5184], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, "There is a River".

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Pretty! Yes, now as we find, there are disturbances which are very aggravating at times to the body. In some time back, there were some characters of strong medicines taken that has caused a thickening of the tissue in the upper portion of the stomach, or where esophagus enters the cardiac portion of stomach; so that when there is the emptying of the stomach by activities, we will have a pressure on that area of the stomach or diaphragm, as well as, apparently, on the end of the breast bone or the sternum.
3. As we find, this naturally causes an increase in the centers from which this portion of the anatomical structures receive impulses for the increase or the replacing of the functioning of this area.
4. Here, from the 3rd cervical and 1st and 2nd dorsal, as we find, if there will be, then a reducing by manipulation or massage in these areas, and the taking of the Yellow Saffron as a tea, we will gradually reduce this condition.
5. There should be about eight to ten to twelve of such treatments. Include with same the reducing of those tendencies for a lesion in the area of the lower side of the 9th dorsal that disturbs the flow of the secretions from conditions to bladder. These cause too frequent activities at times, but this is a part of the same disturbance in sympathetic reaction through the nerve system.
6. We would take about once a week a teaspoonful of watermelon seed tea made from crushed or ground seed.
7. In the preparing of the Yellow Saffron, or Spanish or American Saffron will be all right: Take a pinch between thumb and forefinger, put into a dry cup, pour boiling water on same. Let it stand for thirty minutes, strain, cool and drink. Do this at least every other day.
8. The watermelon seed tea would be made in the same manner. Take the quantity as would be a piled up spoonful but just a level teaspoonful or about ordinarily a dozen seeds. These crushed, put into a cup and boiling water poured on same, let stand thirty minutes, strain and drink.
9. Then for the diets: We would include fish, fowl occasionally. These will give greater strength, better balance in the vital energies as are obtained from sea food, as well as the calcium from the small bones well chewed of fowl. Wild game is well for the body.
10. Do these and we will bring better conditions for the body.
11. Have the adjustments about twice a week until about six are taken. The rest, from eight to ten, once each week. We should have much bettered conditions.

13. (Q) What causes too frequent urination, and what should be done?
    (A) Just what has been indicated. The corrections osteopathically of the lesions in 9th dorsal, and there is a connection between thickening of the walls of the cardiac portion of the stomach and the pressures which is a drawing sensation onto the tubes from conditions to bladder. The watermelon seed tea will make, for a day or two, too frequent urinations, but it will correct or cleanse the kidneys and be helpful for these conditions, as combined with the adjustments which are made.
14. (Q) What is the small lump on side of head?
    (A) Massage with Castor Oil. This will remove it. Not bruise, but gentle massage daily.
15. (Q) Is it possible to correct condition of the eyes?
    (A) Eyes, of course, work with same are naturally are associated with, the distresses in kidneys. Eat more carrots, and take the head and neck exercise, and do all the things that have been suggested. Have the general treatments by the osteopath include the 3rd cervical, and the 1st of the dorsals. Coordinate the rest of the body, especially the upper cervicals and the whole of the cerebrospinal system.
