Head and neck exercise: Sitting or standing erect, bend head

BACKGROUND
4/27/44 [
5280]'s letter: "All the doctors I have consulted
say I have a spastic colon - mucous colitis - positively
a nervous condition...my doctor had more x-rays made of my
colon last month, he says another operation would not help
me...a nervous condition causing severe pain in my digestive
tract, positively no malignant trouble. Why do my eyes hurt
so when my other pains are severe? Above everything else,
what can be done for this constant pain in abdomen? Why am
I so weak and trembly? What diet should I follow? Why have
I lost so much weight? I am so thin, weight 105 - once
weighed 160. I adhere to my diet strictly and still have
pain."
REPORTS
7/01/44 [
5280]'s letter: "At the hour of the Physical Reading
yesterday I was amazed at how composed and quietly I could
lie on my bed for the hour. Usually I am in constant
motion trying to find a comfortable position, for my
pain is constant."
7/31/44 "My Physical Reading received July 7th. The
prescription from Mr. Wirsing July 17th, all of which I have
followed exactly, using wild grapes which caused a severe
rash on my abdomen but have continued with others of purple
variety. My pain is constant."
10/17/44 Daughter's letter: "She faithfully followed EC's
advice. Her pain became worse and her physical condition
was at lowest ebb. She wrote asking for a second Physical
Reading... We never lost faith in EC giving her some relief
from pain. When we had no word from you, Mother and I
decided EC was in bad health... In a last desperate effort
for some relief for mother, I took her to Dr. Schwenkenberg's
[M.D., Dallas Texas] sanitarium in ..., Texas. He is a
neuropsychiatrist and treated her with electric shock and
insulin. She is a great deal better, has gained thirty
pounds, eats a balanced diet and is able to live a quiet
existence. She continues to have excruciating pain."
10/05/49 GD's comment: No mention was made as to whether or
not the scientific colonic irrigations were given, and the
Swedish massage.
