TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, as we find, the tendencies here are for the accumulations of drosses through the hindrances which have been experienced by an accident, or a pressure as produced upon the areas in the sacral and ileac plexus.
3. These have brought about those tendencies for these segmentations, so that the obstructions in circulation bring to the head accumulations, and thus the violent character of headaches experienced at times.
4. These, as we find, should be dissipated and, unless they are, may grow to become constitutional or turn towards what is sometimes called migraine headaches.
5. These are not true migraine, rather are they the thickening of tissue which causes the pressure over the eyes, from the particular area indicated in the lumbar, and where the brush end of the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nerve reflex, from the 3rd cervical, branch into the area.
6. We would first have two or three low - not higher than three amperes - of the short-wave or radio-active-wave of electrical treatments. These should be over the areas of the lumbar and sacral.
7. Then follow these with osteopathic treatments, though give about two or three of the electrical treatments to one of the adjustments or stimulations for increasing the normal balance of circulation throughout the rest of the system.
8. These, as we find, followed through consistently, persistently may rid these disturbances, as well as producing conditions where improvements will be in the general status of this body, [5285].
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Any specific treatment for the eyes?
    (A) The short-wave and the adjustments which are to be made will aid. The adjustments will include the upper dorsals and throughout the cervical areas, including the nerves and energies which are to be stimulated or relaxed about the head and neck, see?
11. We are through with this reading.

Two copies to Self (one for the osteopath who may also give the short-wave treatments - We would refer you to Dr. Mary Miller, 105 No. Van Ness Ave., Los Angeles, Cal., unless you have another preference.)
    Copy to Ass'n file
    Two for indexing

BACKGROUND

1. 12/21/43 Letter: "I have had pains or headaches above my eyes for eight years and the doctors cannot locate the trouble, so that is my only question."

REPORTS

1. 9/26/44 Letter from [5285]: "I have followed the instructions but I am very sorry to say that they have given me no relief."
2. 10/30/44 Letter: "I still have had no relief from the pain in my head. I have had twice the amount of treatments suggested by EC's reading."
3. 11/06/44 Report requested by GD as to exact manner in which he followed the treatments and by whom: "It is quite likely that the treatments have not been properly given. This information is very important to our research work, through which we hope to help others." [Due to EC's illness [5285] was not given a second physical reading appointment.]
4. 8/31/49 Questionnaire sent [5285] by GD.
