TEXT

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body here, those desires and hopes of the body. These, we find, are very well, provided the body will maintain a consistent attitude towards the principles and activity of the Christ-faith in the concrete and not abstract.
As for the physical forces, the weakness in the nerve tensions through the body has come from periods when there has been opening of centers of the body without direction to the use of the energies that have been and are created in and through the kundaline forces as they act along the spine.
Thus, we would give the hydrotherapy treatments once each week and each time use the radio-short-wave treatment to stimulate the better connections between sympathetic and cerebrospinal nervous systems, especially in the areas of the brachial centers. Hydrotherapy should include the Fume Bath, the Bubble Bath and a gentle massage with equal portions of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil.
These do, and keep the balance in the diets so as to supply energies to the nerve forces of the body.
Not too much of starches nor too much of sweets, lest there be a further exaggeration of the activities of the pancreas and spleen upon the digestive forces of the body.
These, as we find, if they are adhered to, will bring better conditions for this body.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What should be used in the Fume Bath?
(A) Two teaspoonsful of witchhazel to a quart of water. Not much of the dry heat, practically all of this should be of the fumes.
(Q) Am I able to manage the care of the physical body by right mental polarization and by the decentralization and forgetfulness of the little self?
(A) This may be better done when there are better coordinations between sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems. Don't overtax the imaginative body to the detriment of the physical being.
(Q) Am I making any real progress in my effort to achieve such decentralization? ["I am trying to focus on the Plan and not on my reactions to it."]
(A) As has been just indicated, there is progress made but at times to the detriment of the nervous forces. We would, then, correct the physical being and the mental and spiritual forces may manifest the better.
(Q) Am I right in supposing that I shall have a slight usefulness as an occult student and future interpreter of spiritual values?
(A) This may be possible, it is practical in the experience of the entity, provided there are correct values given in thy study and in thy judgments.
Doing these, we will make the better physical forces and the body the better channel for manifestation of forces within as well as without self.
We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

8/26/43 "I find that I am getting more and more fatigued, more and more nervous, less and less able to accomplish a good day's work, because of some maladjustment of the physical mechanism."

REPORTS

8/31/49 Report requested by GD from [5286] and Dr. Reilly.
8/12/74 She wrote, after reading Jess Stearn's "The Sleeping Prophet", hoping to get help for her husband through the A.R.E. Circulating Files. Current introductory material was sent, including Circulating Files list. We asked for a report on her own reading, as to whether or not she followed it and the results.
