11/29/63 [
5368]'s letter:
Dear Mrs. St. Clair:
I shall try as best I can to comment, as discussed on Nov.
11, on my reading of July 20, 1944.
Page 2, para. 4 [Par. 8]: Suggestions here and in following
paragraph have been followed, perhaps not perfectly, with
some degree of success. Many were "ready to assist" me it
seemed. First in being transferred to Cincinnati, then later
to a more responsible position (though, by no means, in top
management).
Page 3, para. 3 and 4 (at bottom of page) [Par. 12, 13]:
This is very true. Somehow I never was satisfied until I
could get back to the "environs of the present nativity". I
have often thought I would like to find out if birth or death
records would establish the existence of Irvin Wagner but do
not quite know how I could [go] about this.
Page 4, section at top of page pertaining to fifteenth
century [Par. 14--16], am unable to relate to me in any
way. Middle section [Par. 17, 18] pertaining to Egyptian
experience shows some relationship. I have always had
some unexplainable interest in "language, knowledge of
those activities in varied lands" and have always been
"interested in the unusual stories of various lands".
Page 4, last para. before questions [Par. 19]: While
partially mastering my negative thinking, the extent to which
I have not done so, is a measure of my failure to advance
further than I have.
This is, I realize, a bit sketchy. I hope that it may be of
some small value to the Association.
It certainly was a pleasure talking with you while in the
Norfolk area and I appreciate very much the time you took
"bringing me up to date" on the Association's activities.
Sincerely, [
