Edgar Cayce Readings, 5393-1

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, as we find, there are disturbances. These, as we find, are general debilitation. These have not as yet reached those proportions where it may be called senility, and yet, the nerves have become so fagged through the superficial circulation as to give very little stamina or strength to the muscular forces in the extremities, and this general weakness has through the continued reaction, brought much of this same reaction in the organs of elimination and assimilation.
As we find, there should be given very mild violet ray treatments, using not the bulb applicator or any except through feet and hands, or the rod applicator. It would be given to the feet one day, the hands the next day - but lay the applicator on glass, and set bare foot on same.
Then apply, or massage the body, the limbs, the torso, especially through the abdominal area and the cerebrospinal area, with Peanut Oil. This, as we find, should be done regularly, for at least three to four weeks before there is the rest period.
And there should be the keeping of vitamins; especially of B complex, with this body, as would be supplied in Zyrone preferably, which would be easily taken.
Do have in the diet a great deal of liver, beef juices, rather than beef, itself; whenever it is practical to obtain same make beef juices - take as medicine. This will bring much better strength to the body.
The violet ray treatment would be for fifteen minutes each day, then take at least thirty minutes for the massage or rub, and this is not something to be gotten through with. Do it gently, thoroughly each day for three weeks. Thus we will bring better conditions. Then have a rest period for about a week, and then take these again for at least three to four weeks, before there would be another rest period, and so on.

(A) That which is the hand or rod applicator.

(A) Keep constructive in thought, not condemning any. Do be creative in the ideals and purposes.

BACKGROUND

8/17/44 [5393]'s letter: "I am afflicted with periods of weakness during which I seem to be unfit for any kind of work. Sometimes there is a feeling of having been ill - as with flu - and I seem to experience the recuperating stage. It has been somewhere near 20 years since the beginning of this trouble. At first the weak periods came once in a long time and lasted about 2 days. Gradually they came more frequently and lasted longer. Often during the winter there is a good deal of regularity, one week of weakness followed by fairly normal week, then weakness again. I have the trouble occasionally in the summer and for the past year or more have not felt as well between weak periods as was normal. I have been to various good doctors but am not sure that I have been helped by any. About 10 years ago I was examined in the Johns Hopkins clinic where they failed to find the trouble. I cannot remember all the medicines I have taken. The most recent was belladonna. Calcium was one, and years ago I had injections of putuitrin for quite a while. I took the skin tests for allergy. This was my own idea. There were no marked reactions."

Abnormal Physical Findings: None except pedal and popleteal pulses slightly faint; slow hesitating gait - all examinations including CAT scan and arteriograms negative.
Total Treatment Program Using Suggestions in the Cayce Readings: Massage with therapist trained in Phoenix - very helpful, Castor Oil Packs, Ultra One Plus Vitamin, Cayce diet, human interaction. Hope to add Atomidine and Wet Cell with Gold Chloride and Silver Nitrate solutions in March.
