IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY - We find there are evidences of pus
forming within the system. The character or the nature of
same produces the greater distress with the digestive system,
with the manner in which same is taken or carried into the
digestive system, WITH conditions as have been taken for
those distresses in the lungs, or in the bronchials AND
lungs; for when those conditions are used, as causes, too
much of an acidity, or the lack of the proper formation of
those of the non-alkalin or non-alkalin PRODUCING conditions,
make for the lack of alkalins as go into the stomach proper
with the food taken, for these make ACIDS rather than
alkalin. With, then, the activity of the salivary glands,
there is carried those of the lymph along the throat,
the bronchials, that are pus forming. This makes for the
DIGESTION being disturbed. The tendency of constipation,
and of a colonic condition, that makes for a disturbance with
the circulation. Dull headaches, pains through the eyes,
the base of brain - rather that of dullness; shoulders, under
the shoulder blades, aching - and an uneasiness, almost as
a line, around the diaphragm region, or high waist line.
In the blood ITSELF there is the tendency of the system to
ATTEMPT to meet the needs of the conditions by the creation
of more white blood. Hence we find the red blood TENDENCY -
not a great deal, but a tendency to be low in count, and the
pulsation, necessarily then, fast, but blood pressure NOT
as high as should be. In the white blood the tendency is to
create more of that of the gluco [glucose] than urea, or of
that HEALING property. Hence we have a complete circulation
of pus forming, though not in fact the TRUE streptococci
in its activity, yet pus forms wherever there may be found
any abrasion, or where there is an injury of nay character.
The TENDENCY is for pus to form. Then, again, we will find
the system adjusting itself, the body feeling better, the
depressions as through lungs or the bronchia - this then
brings relief, and the body for a few days or weeks will
feel near normal, feel better, yet the feet continue to
feel heavy, as of draggy - yet these are but symptoms.
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM we find the greater distress, for with
the activities of the body physical, the nerve centers and
the nervous SYSTEMS - not system, but SYSTEMS - are as the
carriers on, or the incentives for the activities as are
exercised in the system. Now, we find in the upper dorsal
region a condition wherein there is an impingement, which
- being in its position, with that of the secondary cardiac
plexus - brings to those PORTIONS of the system that of
the filling of the lungs without proper amount of air being
capable of being taken into the lungs themselves, or an
ASTHMATIC effect. This being, in this PARTICULAR case, more
of a BRONCHIAL asthmatic than a LUNG asthmatic; for these
come in conjunction with the nerves of the trachea, or the
prongs to the bronchial tubes themselves, yet the heaviness
is often felt in the lungs. This produced rather from the
effect of the lack of oxygen in the system, or of the blood
itself, except under stress or strain, being oxidized, or
the proper amount of the carbon begin thrown off, or carbon
dioxide as is thrown off from the lungs themselves. Hence a
source of infection, but - as has been seen - not the WHOLE
source of pus forming; rather the effect of a condition, and
an aid to that which PRODUCES the distress. Naturally, the
blood supply not being oxidized, or not being carbonized
with the oxygen for the system, makes for the tendency
of distresses, or as starvation to the system as to
resuscitation in the blood supply. Hence the low pressure.
Hence the low activity or tendency in red blood cells. In
the reflexes from this, we find conditions in the cervical
which are reflex, and naturally the sensory system - the
eyes, the ears, the feeling, the taste even at times, become
in a manner accentuated; that is, super-sensitive to odors,
super-sensitive at times to the eyes, causing distresses -
then tendency of the lachrymal ducts to fill, to cry easily,
or irritation in eyelids and throughout the whole of the
sensory system. Roaring at times in the ears. These are
indications, NOT causes. To treat these is to make more
accentuated, rather than being a curative nature; for where
tissue has become inflamed form a reflex condition, too
easily do we call on nature to supply an abundance of
curative forces in the blood circulation, that makes for an
accentuation, or a greater distress than nature would build
had we treated the cause and not the effect.
IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES - Brain forces,
we find, are very good; the reflexes from the impulses
through the system are very good.
In the sensory system, as described, these are often under
distress.
Throat shows the effect of too much short breathing, and
irritations - or a tendency of the fullness and a dryness
at times occurs.
Lungs and bronchi show the effect of those subluxations or
pressures through which these portions of system receive
nerve impulse and blood supply, as to cause distress.
Lungs themselves are full, but not ORGANICALLY disturbed.
Heart's action is, as given, below the normal, though
pulsation at times is fast. This produced from the
condition as given.
Digestive system, as is seen, shows disorders more from an
over acidity. Naturally the liver and the spleen become
involved in the conditions, for these remaining torpid in
their activity form for the system something of toxic forces
throughout the body. Hence the condition as has existed.
The hepatic circulation being cold and low, both from that of
the nerve repulses - that of the impulse as is to carry more
of the blood supply to meet the needs through the bronchials
and the lungs.
The digestive system, then, in the lower portion becomes
torpid. The circulation through the kidneys makes for an
uncertainty; that is, at TIMES they are normally active, at
others there is irritation, especially in the bladder. These
are but reflexes, NOT conditions that will not respond, with
the correction of the conditions that produce same.
Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions, not only must
the CORRECTIONS be made as are primarily the cause of same
- those conditions in the cerebro-spinal system; but also
we must make for the proper distribution of renewed energy
as becomes the system to make for the general building UP,
rather than of the COMBATIVE conditions that exist at the
present time.
First, then, we would have those conditions corrected in
the cerebro-spinal system. This, as we find, may be done
chiropractically or osteopathically. WE would give the
preference in the osteopathic, for these may be MADE
to COORDINATE WITH the rest of the system in the
DISTRIBUTIONS of energy as may be brought about in body.
We would also CLEANSE the system, by those of the
irrigations, as will make for better digestion in the system.
We would use as an antiseptic those of the properties as
may be had through the inhalant [See 304-7], that will aid
the lung or the bronchi proper AND lung to throw off those
conditions that cause or produce the effect of ASTHMATIC
conditions.
In clarifying the blood, in neutralizing conditions in throat
and bronchi, and in taking into the system those properties
of the Calcidin - in the three grain tablets - these
may be taken every three to four hours, until there
has been at least five to ten corrections made in the
cerebro-spinal system.
The irrigations or colonics would be at least once each
week, until at least four or five had been made, and more
corrections made.
The inhalations, or those properties as would be taken
AS inhalation - these may be used whenever there is the
feeling of the spasmodic condition.
As an expectorant, WITH the use of the inhalant, we would
prepare as this:
First we would take 3 ounces of wild cherry bark. Add to
this 16 ounces distilled water. Reduce to 10 ounces. Then
add:
Simple Syrup..........................2 ounces,
Grain Alcohol, 85%..................1/2 ounce,
Syrup of Rhubarb....................1/4 ounce,
Syrup of Ipecac......................40 minims,
10% Solution Iodide of Potassium.....20 minims,
10% Solution Bromide of Potassium.....5 minims,
Tincture of Capsici...................2 minims.
The dose of this would be a teaspoonful whenever there is the
tendency to cough, or especially soon of a morning, or during
the evening. This will also let the body rest better, when
the treatments are given.
The corrections should be at least twice a week, and a
GENERAL manipulation once a week, or three treatments
each week. Ready for questions.
(Q) What causes the soreness and inflammation under the eye?
(A) Purely reflex, and is of a temporary nature, will the
corrections be made and the general massage be given; for
this is produced from nerve conditions from the facial
nerves, or from teeth.
We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. [
5445]
I have just returned to Virginia Beach, is why the delay in
answering yours of the 4th.
The inhalant is to be - the FUMES of same - inhaled into the
lungs, or throat, or nostrils. You shake the bottle, with
the cork in same, and then inhale as you would a cigarette,
drawing deep into the lungs - not the solution, to be sure,
but the fumes that form above same from being shaken. Keep
solution tightly corked when not in use. This you may
use three or four times each day, or at night - if you are
troubled with a cough, or when asthmatic conditions occur.
Sincerely, EC:GD
