This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1931, in accordance with request made by her daughter, Miss [349].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5449] - this we have had before. Some conditions show a reaction from the lack of the proper precautions as respecting the eliminations. These, as we find, may be BEST aided will the proper precautions be taken as to eliminations - ESPECIALLY those as pertaining to the alimentary canal, as well as setting UP the drainages GENERALLY in the system by the MANIPULATIVE forces in a GENERAL treatment, with the applications - of a long period when given - of the plain violet ray; this being given in the form of electrodes as may be held in hand the greater portion of the time; this given (when in such a manner) for twenty to twenty-five minutes. In the FIRST portion of such treatments, apply same directly to the spine, along the whole LENGTH of the spine, see, for five to six minutes. Then let the anode be attached, or the hand anode, to the hand or to the foot - see? for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Do this at least TWICE each week. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Are there any new complications of which the body should be warned?
   (A) Complications, to be sure, as has been indicated from the lack of the proper elimination and the proper stimuli to the whole nervous force of the system. Hence the applications of the electrodes, or through the violet ray of FREE electricity, as well as the treatments of the GENERAL system osteopathically - which we would give twice each week - for the setting up of drainages and the RELAXING of the whole body - see?
   The line of diet would be well of those that make for GENERAL eliminations; not too hard to digest, but those that make for STIMULATIONS without leaving drosses or heaviness in the stomach or intestines. Unless we set these up we WILL have complications, for there's a tendency to a laziness or lagness to the functioning of many of the organs as pertain to the excretory system; that is, those that secrete the proper STABILIZING conditions for the physical body!
3. (Q) Is it the proper time for Dr. Berger to osteopathically empty the gall bladder?
   (A) Let's stimulate - as we have waited this long, and as we gave the time when it should be done - it should have been done then! When the stimuli has been given sufficient, and the drainages have been set up in the system, THEN we may empty the gall bladder! not under the present conditions, for we would be very apt to have ruptured conditions!
4. (Q) Should body continue Epsom salts and oil packs?
   (A) WHEN needed. The electrification of the system now, with the manipulations, will be most beneficial. These have been followed only haphazardly - they should have been kept in a regular uniform manner, or else the body does NOT respond!
5. (Q) How many hours' sleep and how much rest during the day should body take?
   (A) From five to ten. Good variation, but conditions, nerve forces of the body. Six to seven hours is good enough for anyone, and yet under the stress and strain some may require ten to twelve.
6. (Q) Should body do any housework of any kind?
   (A) Whatever it chooses to do!
7. (Q) How can severe headaches be eliminated?
   (A) Do what we have given! Try that for ONCE and see how it works! We are through with this reading.
