10/17/30 EC's ltr. to Mrs. [
310]:
Mrs. [
310]
..., Alabama
My dear Mrs. [
310]:-
I want to talk with you, yet I am speechless. If I might be
privileged to sit down and talk with you, possibly I could
say SOME of the things that I feel in my heart. I'm sure you
know there are few, if any, that I have ever loved as I have
you and Brother [
5473] - and to have proven of so little help
makes me feel very unworthy, and to have been so foolish as
to have been away - though I might not have been the means of
offering any physical aid, for I know God uses His own means
and own way, and we are but clay in His hands, even when we
are doing or TRYING to do our very best - yet I can't help
but censure myself somewhat, when I feel that I was thinking
of myself in any manner when you and your loved companion
were going through such a trial; although I know you have so
lived and so conducted your own life that the Master has been
with you through this, and if He is with you, what would the
word or the presence of any other mean!
I'm in hopes that you have adjusted yourself mentally and
physically to the changes that He has seen fit to bring, and
that you will go on in the way and in the manner as He and
Brother [
5473] would have you do. Know that my heart is
with you. It was an error of the physical, not of the real
man, to be away.
I would love to hear from you. I'm in hopes that - if it is
possible within yourself - you will again sometime be closer
with us, that we may talk and reason together, and possibly
be of some help, some aid, to each other. I know that you do
not realize how much strength you have been in my life. I
feel that Brother [
5473] understands now, for - to be sure -
he lives on, in that way he had been preparing through this
earthly experience.
Let us hear from you. Know that we love you, and would love
to try to be of help in ANY way, in ANY manner, possible.
With very best love,
[GD's note: Mrs. [
310] had several readings for herself
subsequently and referred many others to EC for help.]
