4/25/32 Letter in answer to Membership Form Letter: "...Your
letter of the 15th received. I appreciate more than words
can tell your interest in me, and am very proud of my card of
membership. I feel it a great honor to be a member of an
Association that is doing so much to help others.
"For some time I have wanted to write you but on account of
sickness of sister, the condition of my eyes, and added
household duties, have not taken time to do it. So far I
have only been able to follow advice as to diet, rest, and
attitude of the mind, but can see improvement. My doctor,
the osteopath, under whose care I have been for 12 years,
lives in Hinton, West Virginia. I have made arrangements
three times to go there to see him and each time was sick in
bed, but I am now planning to go one day next week.
Everything depends on me, as sister is a T.B. patient and
still on rest cure and Mother is not able to do much on
account of palsy of the aged. So please don't think me
ungrateful for the kindness shown me or think it neglect on
my part that I am not carrying out more fully the
instructions given..."
