(Q) Is there one in ..., Va., that may give these properly?
(A) The husband may give it, will the body but allow same!
These should be given in the manner as outlined - gentle
massage. Nurses here may give it - gentle massage over the
whole system, see? Not a muscular - or the bones used as
levers, or not the lights as have been used, for these -
improperly accorded lately - gave improper reaction.
Keep the system cleansed, even though enemas are necessary
each day. Oil enemas would be well when this becomes
troublesome, but the proper diet taken - with the Petrolagar
and with those properties in the water - we will find this
will be overcome. We are through for the present.

REPORTS
2/28/28 Husband's letter: "...Your reading received and I
think Mrs. [
5496] feels a little disappointed as she was
thinking that you would tell her something specific to do for
those 'fear habits' - I do not believe she can go much longer
without some help. She has had a most miserable time for
about two weeks. I feel sure she will have to go to some
specialist on nerves. Whom do you recommend? Could you help
her if she came down there? Is your physician equipped to
treat her now? I have got to do something for her and do it
soon, for she is in a very nervous state..."
2/29/28 EC's letter: "...Yours of the 28th just received,
and I was sorry that I could not offer you some suggestion
for the immediate need when you phoned me this noon. I think
you would do the right and proper thing to carry Mrs. [
5496]
to a specialist, for - for what you say - she must need
something NOW. I feel sure, though, if you would get the
appliance as suggested and carry out the suggestions, she
would get results. Should she not improve as you think she
should, our physician will be here next week, and I feel that
he will be able to make arrangements to handle the case for
you, if you so desire. While our Institution will not be
open, he can make arrangements for her stay here at the
Beach, and will be able to handle the case. So if you don't
get the results, why let us hear from you - but I WOULD carry
out those other suggestions if I were you, if you want to get
her well..."
3/20/29 Form Letter announced the opening of Cayce Hospital
at Virginia Beach.
3/22/29 Letter: "...My physician, Dr. R. A. Bagley has
written you twice asking if you would give him a copy of my
reading and has not had a reply. I believe what you
prescribed has helped me very much indeed but it could not be
done at home. This is an osteopathic institution and a
splendid one [Terrace Spring Sanitarium Incorporated,
Richmond, Virginia].
"Dr. Bagley was interested in the readings after I told him.
He is a broad-minded man and seemed very interested. I would
like so much to have a copy of my readings, and would like to
know at what time you would give me another. I am still a
member, am I not? I have improved very much indeed. Hope
you are having great success and hope when I can leave the
Sanitarium I may be able to help you some..."
3/23/29 EC explained that he had received no requests from
Dr. Bagley, but that he was sending a copy of her original
reading and would be glad for Dr. Bagley to be present for
her third reading or else formulate questions to be asked
concerning her condition.
4/10/29 EC gave the third reading -
5496-3.
