As to the business associations and the associations as
exist, and as are contemplated by the body - in the GENERAL
way and manner, that as has been and as is BEING considered
by the body is WELL and good. The consolidation of interests
will be advantageous in many directions. Many details as to
how these various interests are represented, and how the
outlet of that manufactured is distributed, have to be worked
out. The GENERAL way and manner as is being considered is
very good. WELL, however, that there be more than ONE
outlet, or ONE control for the outlet, OF that manufactured,
UNLESS more STABILIZED conditions of the outlet are created;
that is, more assurance that, that being manufactured - or
the expansion of the business in the varied directions -
finds an outlet for the expansion as may be made by the body
and associates, other than in just one direction. The
individuals as a WHOLE, as are being considered as
associates, are WELL. The individual as would DIRECT the
sales and the outlet for that manufactured, well to trust
same and same's POLICIES - but not be confined SOLELY to that
one outlet, but that MAY BE the MAIN outlet. Do that.
We are through for the present.
BACKGROUND
10/01/28 Letter from [
5540]: "...I spent last Wednesday in
Goshen, Indiana, with Mr. David Kahn on a business trip and
while with him explained to him a new proposition that I was
developing in a business way. He asked me to write you for a
reading on this proposition and so I am enclosing herewith an
application for same, together with the questions that I
would like to have answered. I explained to him that my
readings in the past had been all physical, but was assured
by him that you would be perfectly willing to give me this
reading and that I should tell you that he had asked me to
have it..."
10/01/28 Questions submitted besides those which got asked:
"1. Am I developing a sound plan in the consolidation of
various manufacturing units under one control? 2. If not
what changes should I make? 3. Are the two associates I have
selected to be with me in this organization the proper men to
insure its success? 4. If not what changes should I make?
5. Is the selling organization that we have arranged to
manufacture for exclusively the right one? 6. Are we safe in
depending on the man in that selling organization that we
will have all our contact with and shall we follow his
suggested method of operation? 7. If not what are the danger
spots and what should we do to remedy them? 8. Will he be
capable of keeping our plants busy all the time at a profit
or should we have other outlets for our products?"
