4/22/29 Letter from [
5540]: "...I had an aunt, my mother's
sister whose name was Mrs. [...] and who lived in Los Angeles
California at the time of her death last June.
"She was for many years a Christian Scientist and apparently
lived a life of religious intolerance, even in the
distribution of her estate because she did, in my opinion,
a grave injustice to three very worthy daughters of her
husband's sister, to say nothing of my mother and her family.
Mrs. [...]'s husband died two years before she did and the
estate which she leaves was all his, made through his own
efforts, and I am sorry to say without the cooperation he
should have had.
"My mother and I want to write the wrong done these three
girls if it is legally possible to do so and I would like to
have the following questions answered to give us information
to proceed in the right way to do it..."
