10/28/30 EC's letter to [
5543]'s husband:
Mr. [...]
..., Ave.
..., Ohio
Dear [...]
I'm just in receipt of the little snaps. I am in hopes you
won't remember me as looking as old as those snaps indicated,
even though the boys insisted on calling me "the old man" -
and I don't wonder, if that's the way I looked! I certainly
do appreciate your taking the time and trouble to send them -
and let me know how much I owe you for them.
Yes, it's a pleasant memory. We made ourselves often
dogtired, but I hope your trip did you as much good
physically as mine did me. I wonder if I could have taken
what I have, if I hadn't been physically fit.* Things are
very much in a turmoil here, as no doubt you have learned
from Doc [Dr. Lydic] - and he has decided that he is going
to leave us.
I hope that we can have just another such trip some of these
days. I know I never was with any more congenial fellows,
and I hope that I was not too hard on you.
Please remember me to Mrs. [
5543], and again thanking you and
wishing you and yours the very best, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce

back property to Blumenthals; salaries were cut and talk was
beginning re. closing of the Cayce Hospital.]
