This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of December, 1929, in accordance with request made by self and those in charge.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5593]. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) What is cause of morning headaches?
   (A) Toxemia.
3. (Q) How may they be prevented?
   (A) By taking of the colonic irrigation sufficient to relieve those pressures as are caused through the colon. By the taking, as the diet, those of the citrous fruits diet that will eliminate. He wouldn't care to do it until after Christmas, but begin it and take a nine day diet. Only citrous fruits - oranges, lemons - these - for the nine day diet. Not seven - NINE!
4. (Q) How often shall colonic irrigations be given?
   (A) At least twice each week.
5. (Q) Is there any medication that would aid in relieving the trouble?
   (A) A little Bicarbonate of Soda would be beneficial to the system, until the use of the citrous fruit diet. When you begin this, we wouldn't use any more for the time being. Quarter of a teaspoonful about every four or five hours will be found beneficial. Better, in THIS, that the anhydrous, or the clarified, be used. In some conditions it is better to use that of the plain, or the ordinary baking soda. In this the anhydrous, or the clarified, would be better.
6. That is all the questions regarding this body.
7. Would be well, with the changes as are wrought in the system, that once a week, or twice a week, a good thorough manipulation be given the body to equalize the system; for when a condition of such nature as is seen in this character of disturbance in system, the body-physical attempts to adjust itself to the abnormality as is caused, or the pressure as is produced tends to produce in the nervous systems those of that ordinarily termed as the abnormal metabolism or katabolism, or both, become disturbed. The manipulation would be given (not as ADJUSTMENTS), but rather as a thorough massage, and ESPECIALLY from the 8th DORSAL to the brain - but twisting his leg very good, for that is NECESSARY for those conditions as produced pressure, or HAS been producing pressure in the lumbar and sacral regions. Working the limb up, around, back, down, see? Once or twice each week would be sufficient to bring about a normalcy. That is, WITH the other things - one won't do it by itself! This will aid the eyes also. Stop the roaring as comes in the sensory effect to the auditories. This will relieve the pressure - this is, especially, of course, from the DORSAL reflex to the sensory system, rather than from the cervical reflex - though the cervicals need their attention, to be sure. Especially where the activities of the great nerve centers cross, coming in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical. Hypogastric and pneumogastric - especially up to the sides of the ear, as comes through the back portion of the soft tissue in the back portion. We are through with this reading.

1. GD's note: Mr. [5593] got entirely free of the headaches, etc. Later his wife [422] had reading. Their daughter told GD some years later that they both died in the early 1940's.
2. 7/21/72 His younger daughter told GD that Mrs. [422] died in 1946 and her father, Mr. [5593] died a few months later, in 1946, each from a massive cerebral hemorrhage.
