(Q) If the manuscript is published or screened, what will be
the effect on my husband?
(A) That would depend upon the manner in which self
presented the circumstances as concerning same, the manner
and presented as to why such was done. If presented in the
manner, not as irrespective of his wishes - but rather as a
means of finding expression of self and self's abilities, to
aid in the circumstances and conditions as SURROUND self from
every standpoint. The abilities of the entity, as has been
given, should not go for naught - nor should the entity, or
the body, consider self or self alone in WHATEVER self may
attempt to do. There IS a way in which self may PRESENT
self's abilities, that would make for a wholehearted
cooperation between the two. There IS a way that would
make for a division, and contentions. Do it properly!
(Q) Shall I send it as it is, or make changes?
(A) Send it as it is. The necessary changes for production
may be made by those producing same.
(Q) Should I have it edited by Agnes M. Reeve?
(A) Not NECESSARILY.
(Q) Shall I sign my own name to the manuscript?
(A) That as desired. Own name or pen name.
(Q) If accepted, will I have regrets?
(A) That depends upon the manner in which self reacts to
same!
(Q) Do you advise that I take a short story course from
Columbia University?
(A) Short story study course would be well!
(Q) In regard to my husband, what shall he now do? Where
should he apply for a position?
(A) As we find, with the ideas as the body has as respecting
some improvements that may be made in the fields of endeavor,
would these be made to - or WITH - those of the Majestic
people, would be an opening, and a satisfactory one,
provided worked in a proper way and manner - see?
(Q) Should he give all his time to his last invention?
(A) That would depend upon the necessity of making the
connection, or the MANNER in which a connection is made.
This may be made in such a way and manner that most of
the time may be given and STILL perfect, or MAKE for
satisfactory arrangements all around.
(Q) How can he market it, and when?
(A) This is the manner, as has been given!
(Q) Can he do anything with his remedy for athletes' foot?
(A) This may be best worked through some of those channels
where such is needed, with specific trainers in different
fields, as with those in connection with institutions such
as McFadden's, or such as Leonard's (?), or the like - see?
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
11/21/31 Mrs. [
5594] submitted questions [see Text of
Reading, 5594-2]: "Will there be a change soon in the
management of General Motors Radio Corporation? When? Who
will be the next manager? How and when will my husband
be allowed to place his money with 'the Manager's
Investment'..."
11/30/31 Letter: "...I am enclosing a money order for $10
for the appointment you so kindly saved for my questions. I
have had two readings previous to this [
2668-1 for her young
daughter and
5594-1 for herself] and feel that I had value
received for each. However, I cannot at this time fill in
the blank that you sent for membership for your association.
It is quite evident from the questions I asked that my
husband knows nothing of this reading. The manuscript I am
asking about was written three years ago. It was not written
for publication, but I don't seem to write anything else as
long as I have it in my attic, and anything that is labored
over as that was isn't easy to destroy. It is for this
reason, I am consulting you. What shall I do with the
manuscript?..."
12/03/31 Letter: "...Will you please change all the business
questions about my husband which I included in my request
for a reading? A very sudden development in business makes
it necessary for my husband to leave his present position
immediately. I would now ask - What shall he do? Where
should he apply for a position? Should he give all his time
to his last invention? How can he market it, and when? Can
he do anything with his remedy for athletes' foot? Any help
in this present crisis will be greatly appreciated..."
12/05/31 EC's letter: "...It isn't, Mrs. [
5594], that we want
to induce you to prescribe to something you do not care for,
but in complying with the rules or our association (by whom
I am employed), we can only give information to those who
are members of the association! That is why Miss Davis asks
that you sign the application that was sent to you. So,
we are again asking that you sign this, so we may make an
appointment..."
12/07/31 Letter: "...Thank you for your letter explaining
about the application blank. I am enclosing it, and hoping
that I may have the appointment for December 11. I will be
at home all morning..."
REPORTS
1/26/32 Form letter urging renewal of membership was sent to
Mrs. [
5594].
2/03/33 Letter: "...Will you please take my name from your
records? I do not wish literature sent me.
"Though I respect your good intentions, what you have told me
is absolutely wrong..."
