(Physical Suggestion)

EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [5640] - this we have had before.
In many respects we find the conditions on the improve. While there has not been as fast improvement as there may be expected from some changes as we would make in the present applications for the body, we will find that with the same attitude, the same general conditions followed as has been given, these will continue on the improve, and the body will grow stronger and able to function the more normal in its social, its mental, its physical relationships.
In the changes there have been some mental upsets; that is, strain. Rest, of course, will bring about better reactions - but to meet the needs of these, and to overcome those toxic forces that have been and are existent, and as may be existent as long as the Hyoscine is necessary to be taken, those forces as will act as better cleansing forces for the whole of the intestinal tract, not leave off those things as have been used, but add as this:
At least twice each day take the psyllium seed, a level dessertspoonful with four times as much boiling water poured and stirred on same, allowed to remain for ten to fifteen minutes before eaten WITH the morning and the evening meal.
Every third day take, of evening, two teaspoonsful Milk of Bismuth. This will clear the breath, will clear the toxic forces from the system, rid the body of those headaches, and not disturb the normal functioning of assimilation, of eliminations - but aid in eliminations; not disturbing, though, the respiratory system, the hepatic circulation, in any sense.
We will find that the massage would be well to be kept up, especially for the next two weeks, at least twice to three times a week, and this will aid in correcting - in the change - that condition with the eyes in the present. Later, when the adjustments of the system have become nearer normal - in three to five weeks - we would CHANGE the lens for same, using rather that that makes for a better focal center in the cylindrical reaction for the vision.

(Q) Do you think it good policy to use the Morse wave on my arm?
(A) We would find rather - which is of the Morse wave, but were those of the reverse coil of the low voltage used, from the brachial plexus and the ganglia below, and that to the arm, these would be well - of the sinusoidal or Morse wave, with the reverse coiled LOW reaction. This may tend at times to irritate, but CLEANSING the system will relieve the most.
(Q) Why do I so often get a pain in my right leg from the ankle to the thigh?
(A) Pressure from poison forces in the abdominal, that makes for a neuritis or neurotic condition in same. The pressure as is indicated is in the alimentary canal.
(Q) How long will I have to continue to take this Hyoscine in order to be steady?
(A) In three to five weeks we should be entirely rid of it; gradually reducing the quantity.
(Q) Does the battery I am now using have to be recharged or anything, or is it alright to continue using it as it is?
(A) As long as the connections are proper, as long as these are kept clean. These have been used properly. They aid in the equalization as these changes are taking place in the system. It's not necessary to be recharged. It charges itself, with the activities through which it passes in use for the body. Best that these be prepared at least twenty to thirty minutes before it is applied to the body, for the better results.
(Q) Am I using the battery correctly?
(A) As has been given, it's used correctly.

Why have I such a bad breath and what can I do to correct it? Should I continue to use the same method of treatment as I have in the past? Although I notice but slight improvement will the progress in the future be as slow as it has been in the past?"

Mrs. [5640] San Francisco, Calif.
Dear Mrs. [5640]:
We have just received yours of the 31st, and I am only too glad to try and give you my interpretation of the information given in your readings of February 4th and March 24th.
In the first reading, the indications are that at some time you had something of an accident, or a real nervous shock to your system, and it affected the cerebro-spinal nervous system in specific centers, by the forming what are called lesions. Continuing under a nerve strain, it upset your general nervous system. Resorting to the use of the hypnotic depressed already distracted nerve centers, and the accompanying after effects in the extremities are the natural result. Such depressions to the nerve system naturally involves the functioning of the organs, whether as to the eliminations, the heart's action, or to the sensory system - of which the eyes, or vision, are a portion. The pressures in the upper portion of the dorsal affect the eyes direct, and hence make for divided vision, or the necessity of the double lens.
Now this, very briefly, is the condition as we see it. Nominally, there would be no organic trouble - but the organs are naturally involved from the depressions and suppression of the nerves' normal activity.
As for the treatments: As outlined in the last reading, they should be kept up - at least three osteopathic treatments a week, one of these only being an adjustment treatment, and at the time of the adjustment treatment that there be given also the violet ray over the specific centers, that the nerve impulse may be awakened to the release that has been made by the adjustments in the cerebro-spinal system. The natural outgrowth of this will be the relieving of the pressure in the system, and the nerve system, and the organs of the body adjusting themselves gradually to the new conditions. This is to be helpful to the eyes. This will be helpful to the extremities where pains have occurred in the system. The natural inclination from a hypnotic (which Hyoscine is) is to slow up the activities of the intestinal tract. In the last reading there is given a specific cleanser for this; not only in the psyllium seed (which produces weight and cleanses the system), but the Milk of Bismuth (which will be an aid to the muco-membranes of the digestive and eliminating system) and you should be able to gradually get away from the use of the Hyoscine. It has indicated that it would be very well for you to take this occasionally, but gradually get away from it - for it is certainly a very powerful depression to the nerve system, and is a hypnotic, and should not be used unless absolutely necessary. The release of the nerve pressures in the system should bring about a relief of all of these pressures in the extremities or other portions of the body, and overcome this nervousness. As indicated, do not leave off that portion of the suggestion to interest yourself in something that is worth while or someone else. Think as little about self, or self's condition, as possible - and this you can best do by interesting yourself in someone else's troubles. Don't think about your pains! And I think in five to six weeks you should be a perfectly normal woman.
I hope this has been at least somewhat enlightening. Please know that we are very glad to answer any questions we possibly can. I trust that you will, with the aid of Mr. Taylor, be able to locate a sympathetic osteopath - and, after you have taken a few weeks treatment it will no doubt be very well to have HIM prepare a list of questions that may be asked at the next reading.
