This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [...].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find there are varied conditions as affect the physical functioning of the body. Though in many respects we have physically a normal body, yet not functioning nominally when speaking of the coordinating of the mental activities and attributes of the body WITH the physical attributes of the body. Here we have a wonderful study in the anatomical forces as related to coordination in the nerve system from the physical viewpoint. We also have that that would be proof to the student of those forces as set in one life vibration and its continuation through time and space as one.
4. In physical effect we have incoordination, dealing entirely with the gray matter of nerve reflex, and this apparently - and from many of the student viewpoint - would be hopeless; yet, if there will be taken into consideration the anatomical atomic force and life as a unit, and those added with that necessary for the PHYSICAL to reproduce anatomic forces in the physical body, we may bring - by the third cycle - near to a normal condition.
5. This will require patience, persistence, and keeping on the one idea of producing coordination in physical in keeping with the anatomic vibratory forces in an anatomical condition.
6. To begin with, we would begin as with this:

The radiating forces from the central brain of the body (from the prenatal condition as existed within the physical forces of same) are deficient in properties, necessary to bring perfect coordination in the body through the central nerve system - CENTRAL nerve system. Then we would create for the system - in a mechanical manner - that proper vibration in electrical energy (for electricity is life), or electric or electronic, or atomic, or the atom forces as of electronic energy as created within the system, to create that proper vibration as will carry to the system those proper vibrations for same. Adding with this those of the forces necessary as to produce coordination of that created with the forces of the physical body as developed to the present period. These would be made in this manner:
8. In glass or crock container of at least two gallons, place gallon and a half of rain water. To this add:

   Copper Sulfate.....................1 pound,
Sulfuric Acid, C.P.................1 ounce,
Common Zinc........................3 drams,
Common Charcoal....................1 ounce.

9. Place a wooden top over this with holes through which poles may be inserted. In one to the left insert copper pole, half inch by quarter inch - or such measurement. In the other, or to the right, insert nickel pole. Charge this with electrical charger, or from battery, until the discharge from same would amount to fifteen ohms. Then connect to the copper bar, or pole, insulated small wire - preferably that of the flexible nature, and to the end an anode of circular copper-thin plate that may be fastened to a portion of the body. To the nickel pole connect a copper insulated wire, preferably flexible and the anode large - or at least the size of a dollar, silver dollar or larger, of german silver or of nickel - thin plate that, may be attached to the body. In the circuit to the body from the nickel pole and anode, make a connection of flexible lead that may be inserted in the shape of hairpin to container of Nitrate of Silver - only a twenty to fifty percent (20% to 50%) solution, see? This would be attached to the body - the first period lasting only twenty minutes. The copper anode would be attached first to the wrist, and the nickel or silver anode to the umbilicus. The next day, or evening (preferably attach this in evening), attach the copper anode to the ankle - opposite that from the wrist to which it was attached - and the nickel or silver anode to the center under the 9th dorsal, see? The third evening attach the copper anode to the opposite wrist from that attached first, and the nickel or silver anode to the center of, or pit of stomach - which comes just below the breast bone, see? and the periods for the first three days would be twenty minutes each. Then begin with the same routine again, beginning with the wrist, to the umbilicus, to the opposite ankle, to the 9th dorsal, to the original wrist, and to the pit of stomach - raising the period to at least THIRTY minutes, see?
10. Use this solution for THREE WEEKS. Then we would give the changes necessary; for we will see changes in the body by that period. Do that at present. We are through.

BACKGROUND

1. 2/09/28 Mother's letter: "I have a little girl four years old February 15th and she is absolutely helpless. Will you please see if you can advise me as what to do? She is like a newborn baby in every way."

REPORTS

1. 3/20/28 Mother's letter: "I think you have judged about right as I think it is her brain that does not work, and I am going to try and follow your instructions. As yet have not been able to get rain water. Will see if I can't get some from a near-by farm. Being in bed myself and no rain is the cause of this delay. Please let me know if distilled water could be used."
2. 3/22/28 EC's letter: "I think the use of distilled water would be satisfactory if it is not convenient to get rain water. Try the first application of this, at least, and then in the next reading, we will check up on it and find out."
3. 4/24/28 Mother's letter: "I started giving the electrical treatments you advised beginning April 12th and you said you could advise me of a change in the three weeks. Waiting to hear from you."
