This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Phillips Hotel, Dayton, Ohio, this 18th day of October, 1923.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have these conditions as is given here. We have had these before, you see¹. The will has controlled through physical, mental and spiritual to the developing of the entity and has been well with this body, for the spiritual forces have ever, except at spasmodic time, been the ruling force in the entity in its development. This we may see manifested in many of the various physical transactions that have been in the years that have become past.
2. Build not upon the past, but make the future for the developing of the individual, using that past as the guide toward the developing of higher forces with the will, in this, that it, the will, has changed the body in its physical action among men to the betterment, we see has been expressed or manifested in the acts and ways from the forces, though under the control or guide of greater forces in Jupiter with the position of Uranus, makes or governs the body. Of course the will force, is the making force of the actions of the body which has been governed, you see. This body might become irrational in its actions, as well as spiritual rational in its actions. Hence, the control, as we see, has been builded in the body and will go forward to develop in this plane.
3. As to the developing of the body toward the psychical and its influence upon men as reached through this same condition, that is, the position of Jupiter and Uranus at time of birth, see, - all the influence over the soul forces and spirit forces, irrespective of the will in this, as given, will becomes the factor and becomes a ruling factor, and must be outlined in this, as to what is meant by development toward the psychical.
4. The body is psychic itself, you see. Through the influence of its, the body's personality, not individuality, personality before and with men, then govern or guide that aright in conducting the minds and thoughts of men toward the developing of themselves toward the better life and the influence with the will, directed correctly, will be the greater force exerted by this body of [5717] we are speaking of, in the plane as found here, that is, from the physical, see. In that is meant the body will go far toward the developing of self, - that is, raising its individual entity toward the realms of the higher creation or be able to present itself nearer to Him who giveth all things, see. Only by assistance to our fellows, do we raise ourselves toward that mark of the higher calling, which is set in Him, see. In this, this body will develop itself by leading others, reached both through the physical plane, and to the developing of others in themselves toward that and manifestation of that thought in its expression toward its fellowman. IN THAT, WE FIND THIS DEVELOPMENT.
5. In that of condition of the Neptune forces, is meant that of the physical or those of the physical being who are dealing with those of direct forces of the watery nature, keep from. As this, that is, do not go into ship building business, means never try to raise a sailor, as his thoughts would not be in accord with those of a sailor, - those of the commercial forces of land nature rather than forces that have to do with the watery nature, you see. Those of the spiritual nature, for we must ever remember we are saved as by water. In that, they become of a different force entirely, and the effect upon this body is of the material, not spiritual or of soul forces through its development, else it would lose its force in connection with these, that is, it would have no patience with the mannerisms even of the men that have to do with the water forces physically, see.
6. In that of the appetites, - must be controlled by the soul forces. The body as an entity and as an individual must remember the physical on this plane is the temple of the Living God, and that care must be taken of the physical that the best may be manifested to the world in its own self, whether from physical or of the psychic or spirit plane. The appetites of the individual physically are not always good. Govern those more through the soul forces of its entity and must be brought of its own will not be governed from these. Those are laid out before it, see. Set itself to its best and keep that. Form a plan, work that plan.
7. As to the financial reached through Aris [Aries] and Septemus [Septimus], these we see deal with those as governed by the force and will, and the natural tendency for all other forces to become the elements necessary to bring financial gains to the individual, and its force as brought will be felt throughout many generations unless the will of this individual, (see, it is outside of the spiritual realm), sets it differently, see. In Aris [Aries] is of the forces as is governed through head, that of Septimus as those through digestion, - each comes back to physical forces of gain, see. The will refers to the condition as is brought to bear in the body, as to whether its appetites are governed for its head, physical forces we are speaking of.
8. As to the developing upon this plane, we see these reached through that as already given, when both will force and the tendencies depend entirely upon the body's inclination in relation to the psychic and the will and its influence, as shown or exhibited, towards its fellowman, see? In this, as how the body develops upon this plane. For as we have in this, we have in this plane of physical, the existence of those immutable laws as made in the beginning, as were set in motion, is here. We have some of those, as the laws of Divine Nature, which have been prepared and have been since before men, and in men's actions, and will forces ARE those things, and govern and change, or open to the use of man in his force. These laws are set, as in this manner and form, and man becomes then an integral force in creation itself, yet man in himself creates nothing, nothing. For he is the Alpha and the Omega of creation as is expressed and shown in the world, and manifested through these beings as are created in the world, see. All were made that was made, and without Him there was nothing made that was made. He was from the beginning and will be unto the end, and those laws remain as is this. In this, we see the plan of development of those individuals as set upon this plane, meaning only that of the ability as would be manifested from the physical of being able to enter again into the presence of the Creator and become the full part of that creation. This is development, see.
9. In that, that this body was upon this plane, this is the third, and before that as the monk, we find is here, see. In this we see glimpses in the life itself of the entity as was shown in the monk and his mode of [manifestation?]. The body only the vehicle ever of that spirit and soul, and wafts itself through all times and ever remains the same.

It was indicated that the four of them were associated for destructive purposes during the Grecian period of the Trojan War; that Mr. [5717] had been Hector during that Grecian sojourn; that he had also been a monk in Spain. They were advised to work together constructively in the present sojourn.
