4/11/24 Letter: "I am indebted to Mr. [
4825] of this city
for your name and information concerning you that challenges
my interest and occasions this letter. I have been
disappointed many times, and have lost some money, by and to
the medical fraternity. However, the faith of Mr. [
4825] in
you is strong, and I know him for a hard-headed business man.
"I am hard of hearing; can hear the tick of a Big Ben only
when it is less than half an inch from my ear; disability
originated in
1917-18; caused, I think, by exposure to cold.
"If you can do anything for me, I shall be glad to hear from
you."
