This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [5738].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. and Mrs. T. B. House.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are some specific conditions with this body that are abnormal, and these cause many of the conditions that produce the other effects in the functioning of organs in the system, and the distresses as are brought in headaches, in neuralgia, in other conditions of the system, when various cycles of functioning of organs are in action, or when congestion is produced by cold or by strain in the system. Though we do not find the body serious in abnormal conditions, this allowed to run will bring about serious conditions.
3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find shows the effect as is produced by poisons or toxins as are carried in the system from conditions existing in the liver and in hepatic circulation.
5. THE NERVE SYSTEM, there are many of the centers, especially in the lower portion of the cerebro-spinal system, that show distresses and tautness, as is produced by strains that are produced in functioning conditions in the system. These, especially, are in the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal, in the 1st and 2nd lumbar centers.
6. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.
7. The organs of the sensory system show the effect of toxins in the blood supply as is used, as it were, in the functioning of these organs, for the system becoming so overcharged, and eliminations being low, this leaves drosses and disturbances in various forms in these portions of the organism.
8. Bronchials, throat and lungs, also show some effects of this condition, though no organic conditions there at present.
9. Heart's action slowed, on account of condition in liver and hepatics.
10. Liver torpid in action, showing the effect of conditions produced about the bile ducts, and about the portion of the hepatic circulation as is affected, especially, by the conditions existing in the region of the appendix and the colon, and all of this right side shows the conditions that cause this distress, produced first by condition in the digestive system - taking those properties as produced eliminations without removing that causing same; then strain by lifting, in the region of the 9th and 10th dorsal, brought then a form of lesion that prevents the normal eliminations to be of that nature as to remove the trouble. From this and from these conditions the disturbance in and about the kidneys and the bladder, and HEAD ACHES, are produced.
11. Then, to remove the conditions, we would give in the system those properties as would PRODUCE the normal eliminations, or the incentive for same, and correct osteopathically those conditions in the cerebro-spinal system - in the dorsal and lumbar regions, taking at least 12 to 13 such adjustments, as that will bring the normal forces in each center.
12. These, as medicinal properties, should be taken until the digestion and the eliminations are set near normal, with the diet so taken as to bring better conditions in assimilation and elimination as would be set normal. The diet would be much of the rougher foods, as bran, whole wheat and bread of that nature. Principally green vegetable foods, seasonable at the present time. Much of that of greens, spinach, celery, lettuce, and those of that nature. Fruits - and these as much green as possible. This as the medicinal properties:
13. To 16 ounces of RAIN water, add:

    Ambrosia or Ragweed.....6 ounces. Reduce by simmering
(not boiling) to 8 ounces. Strain and add:

    Sugar...................4 ounces,
dissolved in 1 ounce
of hot water,
Pure Grain Alcohol......4 ounces, and
Sassafras Oil..........15 minims, with
Peppermint..............2 minims.

    The dose would be teaspoonful 3 times each day, taken about half an hour before meals. Eat the meals, too! Be more regular with the diet. Keep the eliminations in the system, even though high ENEMAS are taken, for this will cleanse the colon, and, with the medicinal properties and adjustments, correction of lesions, correction of adhesions, will be made in the system, allowing the blood to take on the new life, and with this rejuvenation we will build the system gradually back to its NORMAL conditions.

REPORTS

1. 5/26/26 EC sent the reading, suggesting that he have the prescription filled at Sellers Drug Co., 20th St. & 4th Ave., B'ham, Ala. "I suggest these people, for they have made a specialty of preparing the prescriptions given in these readings. It will be necessary for you to send them the whole reading. They will prepare it and return the whole thing to you. I am certainly in hopes that you will find speedy relief by following the suggestions, for while the conditions are not so serious at the present, the indications are that they would become so by allowing them to go without making the proper corrections."
2. 6/12/26 Letter: "I believe the reading fits my case pretty good, however I am not familiar with the medical terms used. Am going to try the treatment.
